Create 3 small works inspired by plants - Mixed Media Abstract Workshop

 

Painting in an abstract style is such a freeing way to create, dealing more with ideas and emotions rather than creating a piece of art that actually looks like an object.  I've found that playing with colors and movements in making marks is a freeing and satisfying way to make art.

This workshop will focus on creating a series of 3 coordinating 5x7 paintings that can be popped into frames perfect for a gallery wall that will feature plants and growth painted in an abstract style.

I am inviting 10 guests (what a nice, small group) to go through the process of creating a piece of abstract art.  You will choose colors that work together harmoniously and can create something that coordinates with that perfect spot in your home or just create from colors that emote what you're feeling at the moment.  Yes, color does that.  I'll have metallic leaf on hand to bring a magical accent to your piece.  

 Canvas, all supplies, and guidance will be provided for you to make your masterpiece.  You'll have the freedom to stand or sit as music plays in a creative environment with a small group of people.

Light hors d'oeuvres will be provided along with a non-alcoholic drink option.  If guests would like to bring Wine (or beverage of choice), that would be welcome.  

*I have room for 10 guests and tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable to another workshop if requested 7 days before the scheduled workshop.  Materials will have to be purchased ahead of time and preparations will be made immediately for your experience.   I truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.  This policy helps keep costs low and manageable.
